The Arenal has a long stretch of restaurants, some of which metamorphose into mini-clubs late in the evening. There are also two main nightclubs in the Arenal, one called "Poison" which is more of a chill-out lounge, and "Achill", which tends to be noisier and more for the younger generation.
The Arenal has a stretch of bars, all of which will be open and serve a variety of foods and drinks, ranging from the traditional English bargain meals to the Spanish tapas bars, Indian and Chinese!
There is also a well known Irish bar called The An-Shebeen which is popular with many residents and visitors to Javea. Irish beers and spirits are served together with a very good range of food, all in a warm atmosphere, with a wide screen TV for sports events in the upper area and cosy booths in the lower area.
On the other side of Javea is the Port where there are also many bars and coffee bars/ restaurants and tapas bars. There is also a late night bar/nightclub called the "Cara Gato".
Just before you enter the marina the El CLAVO (Coca Cola sign) has been serving tapas for many years, including the local fish caught there daily,along with their famous "patatas bravas". . 
In the old town of Javea just opposite the supermarket Mercadona, Bar Paco is a medium-sized bar/restaurant which is busy every lunchtime. Paco helps the women cooking while Jose, Paco's son in law, runs the bar/restaurant. Excellent service and atmosphere! They say that it is the 'original' Jávea tapas bar.
La Cocina is another traditional restaurant in the Port, serving a selection of Spanish steaks, and an excellent range of wines.
