Nightlife in Javea

There is a wide variety of bars and cafes to be found in all three areas of Javea where you can enjoy a glass of sangria, a plate of tapas and watch the world go by. Many of the bars have live music and there are several discos in Javea for those who like to dance the night away. Alternatively, watch how the professionals do it at a flamenco show!
There are lots of bars along the arenal which do a lovely range of cocktails that would suit just about everyones tastes! Also, a range of popular drinks from many different places around the world.
Achill nightclub is situated at the far end of the Arenal and is very popular with a lot of people and has recently been re-decorated. If you want to be out all night, before midnight, the music is very chilling and relaxing but as the night goes on it gets more upbeat! If you intend to be out for a long time, you can dance the night away on the dance-floor and sit outside on the balcony and watch the sun rise over the sea. There are a few more popular clubs in Javea including; La Hacienda and La Noche to name a couple.
If you are here when the fiestas are on, you will be lucky enough to experience the wonderful spanish traditions. The Fogueres de Sant Joan in the middle of June is one of the most famous fiestas in Javea. The fiesta goes on for several days and finish with the burning of huge papier mache effigies in the old town. The effigies give a satirical view of the political and social issues of these times. The Moors and Christian fiesta takes place in mid July. Colorful and noisy parades through the streets which can go on into the night, usually ending with a great fireworks display! |
